JavaBeans

This course describes the JavaBeans component model, and compares it with competing technologies. JavaBeans provides a mechanism for creating components that can be automatically used and linked together in GUI builders. When JavaBeans components are used in a GUI builder or IDE tool, they can be connected together to create complex applications with little or no programming.

It is presented as a one day lecture with live display so effects of changes on the beanbox can be displayed. An LCD panel or other projection system is required for live display.

Some experience with Java programming, including GUI and/or Applet programming, is required; experience with the 1.1 event model, introspection, threads, inner classes, and GUI programming is helpful.
